Meet the Teachers

Benny Martin

The maestro of JAM, Benny came alive as a musician as a kid when given opportunities to DO, and he wants to give the same opportunity to others.

He has many years of experience teaching music, leading bands, recording and performing live. He has worked as a church music director and DSW and loves singalongs, jam sessions and musical variety.

 

Fito Patiño

Born and raised on the coast of Ecuador, Fito brings wonderfully unique flavours to JAM’s musical stir fry. He has worked as a school teacher and has performed music of many styles in parks, restaurants, churches and more.

 

Kala Bechard

 

Kala sings and plays percussion in the JAM Band, and teaches singing and piano. She has worked as a school teacher, has lots of experience singing live, musicality flows strong in her veins and there’s a slight chance she was your 5-year-old’s soccer coach.

 

Tom LaBonte

Tom plays drums in JAM Band and teaches drums, guitar, etc. He has worked as a pastor and music director and has positively impacted the lives of many young people. He has a unique knack for bringing the best out of those he teaches and leads. Like the time him and Glenn made this.
